English Paper Piecing
Friday, August 4, 2017
9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m
This class will teach the basics of the technique of English paper Piecing (sometimes referred to as EPP). Students will learn how to trace patterns, fold fabric around paper and baste in place, and learn to do the traditional whipstitch to sew shapes together. We will practice doing several shapes...some straight sided and others that include curves. Students will also learn the various ways that EPP can be incorporated to create large and small projects and discover how the technique can be very helpful with quilt patterns that are more difficult to piece the traditional way. EPP is not just for Grandmother's Flower Garden!
