Beginning Quilting Class

Class Description: Ever thought you might like to learn to quilt? This is the class for you!! We will cover the basics - cutting, sewing, pattern and fabric choices. We will make a small, easy quilt top (39" x 54") that will be finished by the end of class. We will discuss options for finishing your quilt.
Instructor: Beth Osborne will be our instructor. She loves to teach and her specialty is sharing her love of quilting with those who are beginners. With her easy going teaching style and individual attention to each student, you will fall in love with quilting.
Class Overview: By the end of this class, you should have learned the basics of quilt piecing and use of basic quilting tools. You will learn:
How to use a rotary cutter, ruler and mat
The importance of a 1/4" seam allowance and how to attain it with your machine
How to read a pattern and some of the language of quilting
About choosing fabric
The importance of proper pressing
Class Fee is $35.00. Payment is required to register for class. Class participants will receive a 10% discount on the purchase of all supplies needed for class and on all purchases the day of class. If you cancel less than one week prior to class, your fee will not be refunded. We reserve the right to cancel and refund your fees if a minimum have not registered.
No children in class. Please do not wear perfume or scented products to class! We have many people who are allergic to fragrance.
